What a Team!!!

If you didn't watch the Tigers play baseball this season you missed out!!!! The Detroit Tigers have made such a come back this year that even I watched them play!!! I have never been the baseball watching type but this was addictive!!! I found myself even listening to the games on sports radio and watching it when my husband was working. I have made Placido Palanco my favorite player and rightly so. He was the MVP. :) I am anxiously awaiting the upcoming World Series game where the Tigers will surprise us once again this year!!! GO TIGERS GO!!!!

Cookies by the Zuerner's

There can be pain in Beauty :(

Nathan would like some more cider

Andrew loves to ride the horses :)

Michigan Fall !!!!

Fall is the best time to live in Michigan!! The trees begin to change colors and the air starts to have that crisp cool feeling. But my favorite part of Fall in Michigan is the countless number of Cider Mills.

Our boys went to the Cider Mill with their Nana and Grandpa Mike this past weekend and had a blast. Nathan had three doughnuts and numerous cups of apple cider. Andrew snacked on the outter edges of his doughnut and drank some of the apple cider (I know!! They are soo different). They rode the horses and took some pics. They really enjoyed the Cider Mill.

Never a Dull moment

I don't know about you but Sundays are one of my least favorite days. They seem to be very full and overwhelming. But just when you think they are hard enough something happens. That's life!!! A few Sunday nights ago the kids and I were driving home from the evening service. As I was driving I was thinking about all that I needed to do when I got home. All of the sudden there was a loud noise and a golf ball on my lap. Yeap, that's right. Some how a golf ball went through my driver side window shattering it into a million pieces. There was glass everywhere!!! That was probably the most scared I have been in a long time. Although we don't know why it happen or how, I am so very thankful that no one was hurt. After all was said and done and the police came, took the incident report and cleaned out the window the kids beemed with joy. They were so thrilled that they had the chance to see and talk to a real, live Policeman. I'm so glad I was able to entertain their desire to tak to a Policeman!!!

The drive to Church that went so wrong!!

Wednesday nights at our house seem to be very hectic!!! We are always rushing out the door for church! Usually once we get in the car things start to calm down and we have some time to gather our thoughts for the next rush (getting everyone to the right place on time). This past Wednesday seemed to go a little different. We were running a little behind and had to eat extremly fast, so we wouldn't have to sit in Michigan traffic. Even though we left at normal time we hit a huge traffic jam on the highway. Thinking we were smart, we got off. Only to find out there was no way around it!! Now, it gets even better. Nathaniel ,our three year old, has the bladder the size of a dime. He begins to complain about how badly he has to us the potty!! Mind you we are sitting on Crooks Rd. in bumper to bumper traffic!!! So what do we do? We plead with him to hold on just alittle while longer. We finally reached the parking lot of a strip mall and yes , we let him go in the parking lot!! Oh,did I tell you it was pouring rain!!! Ok, so you think that's not so bad. I'm not done yet. Just when we thought the crises was over, our 5 year old (Andrew) begain to cmplain about his tummy hurting. Andrew and I looked at eachother and said "OH NO"!! That's right!! He was car sick. We started asking him ever 5 seconds "Are you ok"? Finally, we were back on the highway making decent time. Then it happened!! Andrew Jr. yelled from the back of the car,"I'M GOING TO THROW UP"!! Well, as fast as humanly possible Andrew pulled the car over and I jumped out of my seat to grab him. Thankfully we made it just in time. Yes, it was still pouring rain!!! We made it to church and we were only 15 minutes late. It was crazy! It was like a bad dream that got worse minute by minute. KIDS ARE GREAT!!!!

Katie and Maddie. Soon to be the Best of Friends!!!

Best Buddies

Andrew and Nathan are the Best of Friends :)

Woe is Me!!!!

Well, Andrew is into his third week of Kindergarten and now homework has started. When we begin, all is well and he is very excited to do the work at hand. By the time we are on the second page of handwriting we are on our second warning of the consequences of a bad attitude. Now, I know handwriting is a very important skill but it is not an easy one to attain. We are working on the letters that live in the downstairs (lowercase) and trying to write our numbers. It may seem very easy to you but believe me it is not!!!! I will keep encouraging him to do his best. Like you, I know that in the end we all write whatever way we want!!!

The BIG MOVE!!!

Mark is moving! So exciting. He can hardly wait. He has bought all new furniture and is even having valances made for his family room. (thanks mom :) ) This is great!!! If your around come lend a hand or just come see his new place. I'm sure he would love to see you and give you a tour. :)

Trying to Adjust!!!!

Have you ever felt like you can never get it together? Our family is in the process of changing our entire schedule. Lazy mornings have become hectic and stressful. Afternoons have returned to nap time for everyone (including mom if she is lucky) and evenings have become full of preperation for the next day. In between all these different things there is house work to be done. So to answer the question about getting it together. I am working on it. I know that once I feel like it is all together it will just change again. But thats ok we all adjust eventually.

Time for Schooll!!! These are the words we heard coming from the room down the hall at 6:30 am. Andrew could hardly wait to begin his first day at school. With his backpack filled with all his supplies and his snack bag in hand he went on his way with the biggest smile ever. :) He sits in the front row next to his little friend Jamin. He loves having a desk that he can open and close. Today on his first day he used his red crayon and learned where all those supplies in his backpack will stay. When we asked him what he learned today he said "I don't know". We hope that as each day goes by those words will chage. Such an exciting day!! He is looking forward to tomorrow. :)

First Day of School!!

Our oldest son Andrew Jr. is starting his first day of school. We are excited, because there will only be three at home for a part of the day! Nervous, because there is a whole different responsibility. We want him to succede and learn so much. Sad, because it means our first baby is a real"Big Boy". I'm sure it will be wonderful!!! We are so blessed that he can attend Bethany Christian. He is so excited and is counting the number of naps he has until his first day!!! Only three more to go!!! Keep checking back to find out how it goes:)
